Osman I History:
Osman Gazi, also known as Osman I, was the leader of the Ottoman Turks and the founder of the dynasty that established and ruled the Ottoman Empire. After the death of his father in 1281, at the age of 23, Osman assumed leadership of the Kayi Clan. Soon after, mercenaries from all over the Muslim world began pouring into his kingdom to join the fight against the Orthodox Empire.
In 1301, Osman successfully defeated a large Byzantine force and began to press Byzantine-controlled areas. This alarmed the Byzantines, who quickly fled the Anatolian countryside. The leaders of Byzantium were determined to prevent Osman from crossing into Europe and attempting to check his westward expansion. However, Osman continued his attacks and quickly captured the Byzantine city of Ephesus. This brought another huge, diverse wave of migrants, warriors, and adventurers into Ottoman territory. Osman was both a brilliant commander and a capable administrator. His efforts laid the foundation that allowed the Ottoman Empire to eventually conquer the Byzantine Empire and become one of the oldest and most powerful empires in history.
Osman I Review:
Osman I deals one of the highest skill damage for an epic commander in Rise of Kingdoms. His active skill (when mastered) deals 1,100 skill damage. His third skill deals an additional 400 damage to the target the next turn after using the active skill. During each skill cycle, his third skill will trigger twice for both the primary and secondary commanders for a total of 800 additional damage.
Osman I works best with commanders who use their active skills more often and/or generate Rage.
Osman I is a great commander to use early game.
