Rise of Kingdoms: Saladin Talent Tree Build and Guide Update 2025

Saladin History:

Saladin (1137/1138 – 4 March 1193), was a Kurdish Muslim and Sultan of Egypt and Syria, founder of the Ayyubid dynasty. He was known as a wise ruler, an ideal warrior, brave, honorable and just. He was born in Iraq and was of Kurdish descent. He became a commander-in-chief, the chief imam of the Fatimid dynasty of Egypt. In 1171, he overthrew the Fatimids, established the Ayyubid dynasty and conquered Syria and part of North Africa. His combined forces drove the Crusaders out of Outremer. A man of great culture and generosity, Saladin patronized scholars, founded schools and funded social works such as hospitals. Ṣalāḥ ad-Dīn's tolerance, generosity, and chivalry are mentioned many times in the historical accounts of Christian scholars, especially those about the Siege of Kerak; and he was respected by many generals and military leaders of the Crusades, including King Richard I of England. In other words, although he was a formidable opponent of the Crusaders, Ṣalāḥ ad-Dīn was not an enemy in the Western Christian world but a renowned symbol of chivalry.

In 1190, European powers including King Richard I of England, King Philip II of France, and Emperor Frederick I (Holy Roman Emperor) formed the Third Crusade and attacked Jerusalem. The Crusaders captured Acre, but not Jerusalem. A peace treaty was signed between Richard I and Saladin in 1192, a year before Saladin's death.
