Tariq Ibn Ziyad History:

Tariq Ibn Ziyad was an Arab general of Berber origin who joined the Arab army after Musa Ibn Nusayr's conquest of the Berbers.

After joining the army, Tariq quickly made a name for himself, winning the Battle of Guadalete and conquering the Visigothic Kingdom of Hispania (modern-day Spain). The name “Gibraltar” comes from “Jabal Tariq,” meaning “Mount Tariq.” But Tariq’s story is also a sad one: after becoming governor of Hispania, he was recalled to Damascus, where he would spend the rest of his days in disgrace.

Tariq Ibn Ziyad was one of the most important generals in the history of the Iberian Peninsula. He displayed great fighting skills, with history books recording his daring landing at what is now Gibraltar. But after his great victory, he later suffered similar tragedy.

Bonus damage multiplier: 150/180/210/250/300

Passive Skill 1: Visigoth's Bane

Infantry units commanded by this commander gain 20% increased attack power and deal 2% increased damage to cavalry. Infantry also gain 2% increased march speed outside of allied territory.

Infantry Attack Bonus: 20%/25%/30%/35%/40%

Increased infantry damage vs. cavalry: 2%/4%/6%/8%/10%

Infantry march speed bonus (Outside alliance territory): 2%/4%/6%/8%/10%

Passive skill 2:

When attacking cities or strongholds, infantry units commanded by this commander gain 10% increased defense and each normal attack has a 30% chance to reduce the target's attack by 10% for the next 3 seconds. This effect can trigger every 8 seconds.

Basic Attack Damage Reduction: 10%/15%/20%/25%/30%

Passive Skill 3: Battle of Guadalete

Troops commanded by this commander deal 5% more damage and have a 10% chance to reduce the target's damage by 40 for 3 seconds. This effect can trigger every 8 seconds.

Upgrade:

Bonus Damage: 5%/7%/9%/12%/15%

Rage Reduction: 40/50/60/70/80

Expertise: Victory or Death

Deals direct damage to the target (Damage factor 2500). If this commander's troops are surrounded, this skill will deal additional direct damage to the target (Damage factor 300 x number of surrounding enemies, capped at 900).
