Yi Seong Gye History:
Yi Seong Gye (widely known in ROK as “YSG”), was the founder and first king of the Joseon Dynasty of Korea, and a key figure in the overthrow of the Goryeo Dynasty. Yi Seong Gye joined the Goryeo army and gained power and respect in the late 1370s and early 1380s by driving the remnants of the Mongols out of the peninsula and also by repelling well-organized Japanese pirates in a series of successful engagements.
Yi Seong Gye declared a new dynasty in 1392-1393 under the name Joseon, thereby reviving an older state, also known as Joseon, which according to legend was founded nearly three thousand years ago, and renamed the country “Great Joseon Kingdom.” Yi Seong Gye abdicated in 1398 amid a conflict between his sons and died on May 24, 1408 at Changdeok Palace.
Yi Seong Gye Review:
YSG was the best Archer commander in Korea for a long time before Boudica Prime was introduced. He is often used as a secondary commander to provide strong skill damage and is often used in non-archer armies in open field combat as a secondary commander.
His Expertise skill covers a large area of effect (circular area), extremely useful in open field combat or barbarian hunting.
Upgrade priority skills for Yi Seong Gye:
5515 – If you have few legendary commander statues, you should first maximize YSG's first, second, and fourth skills.
5555 – If you have enough Legendary Commander statues, you should max YSG for the Specialization skill “Storm Arrow” because the circular damage area when Op is very valuable.

Open field archer army (K1,K2,k3): Hermann, El Cid (YSG is a secondary commander) – both commanders give you march speed, which YSG lacks in skill.
