El Cid History:
El Cid Campeador was a Castilian nobleman, military leader and diplomat. Exiled by King Alfonso VI of León and Castile, El Cid commanded a Moorish force consisting of Muladi, Berbers, Arabs and Malians, under Yusuf al-Mu'taman ibn Hud, the Moorish Muslim king of the city of Zaragoza in northeastern Al-Andalus, and his successor, Al-Mustain II.
After the Christians were defeated at the Battle of Sagrajas, El Cid was recalled to serve Alfonso VI, and commanded a Christian and Moorish army, which he used to create his own fiefdom in the Moorish city of Valencia on the Mediterranean coast.
El Cid later died in a battle against the Almoravid Muslim invasion in 1099, but his wife saddled El Cid's body and sent him into battle to cheer up his troops (who thought he was still alive) and to terrify his opponents, who were able to drive them out to sea.

El Cid is a legendary Archer commander, versatile on the open battlefield. His skills, both active and passive, focus on improving archer units in battle.
His main strength as a commander is the improvements this gives to each bow under his command, as we might say, a little bit of everything ( Defense + Attack + March Speed ).
His command role in the early game is quite good.
