Jan Zizka History:
Jan Žižka was a leader of the Hussite uprising in the Kingdom of Bohemia (now part of the Czech Republic). He is considered one of the most talented and creative military leaders in history, and one of the few generals who never lost a battle during his military career.
He was known for his tactical use of mobile fortifications made from ox-wagons (called vozová hradba or wagenburg, meaning "war ox-wagon") and field artillery in battle, as well as his ability to exploit the terrain and maintain strict discipline in his army, which was composed of commoners. He was nicknamed "the one-eyed man", because of his damaged right eye. Around June 1421, he was struck in the left eye by an arrow and lost both eyes, but continued to command the Hussite army until his death in 1424.
