Are you planning to level up Forondil in Call of Dragons for one of your legions, or have you already done so, and want to see how you should invest your talent points, which artifacts work best, and which other heroes you should pair him with? Then you have come to the right place! Below you will find answers to each of those questions, helping you make your Forondil as powerful as possible in every situation.
Forondil Skills
Best Troop Type for Forondil
Forondil is the first flying hero designed for Cavalry, and that is clearly his main focus. Most of his kit revolves around Cavalry, so make sure to bring Cavalry units with him.
Best Hero Pairings for Forondil
Theia is a really good pair with Forondil because both are flying heroes with incredible synergy. With Theia, you get shielding capabilities and extra survivability that Cavalry units heavily benefit from.
Bakshi is the pairing I found most enjoyable because of their ability to aggressive attack targets. With Bakshi, you also gain HP buffs to make the march more durable. However, in this combination, I recommend running Bakshi as the primary commander.
Theodore is obviously another great option as they were released together. Both focus heavily on Cavalry with solid synergy, and I believe they will make a massive impact in the later stages of the Season.
Emrys deals a ton of damage when paired with Forondil, but the main issue I encounter is that he needs to constantly hit targets to gain extra rage. Since you will often be chasing down fleeing enemies, you might not be able to capitalize on that mechanic as effectively.
Ffraegar might seem like an unusual choice on this list, but she provides great buffs and is also a flying hero. If you don't have access to the options above, she can work reasonably well with Forondil.
Hosk doesn't offer much synergy, which might sound surprising given how versatile he is, but in my testing, the performance was rather underwhelming.
